Admission Requirements

As with any postsecondary educational institution, there are minimum requirements established to ensure that you have the basic knowledge required to interact, comprehend and be successful in an entry-level educational environment.  Below are the items required to be eligible for admission into the program as set forth by the Institution, Department of Education, National Healthcareer Association and our internship partners.


  • Be at least age 18 or older (by time internship begins)

  • Possess a High School Diploma, or the equivalent (GED)

      (Those near completion of High School or GED can be offered a provisional certification)


Perspective students must provide the following items prior to beginning the program:


  • Favorable PA state criminal, FBI fingerprint and PA state child-care clearances

    • NOTE: Less than favorable clearances may prevent a student from attending the required externship.

  • American Heart Association CPR for Healthcare Providers

    • (valid through end of externship)

  • Record of required vaccinations

  • Proof of personal medical health insurance coverage
